The water reflections on the harbour would come onto the ceiling of our office … and I remember, just the joy whenever that happened, of just sitting in my chair in complete silence ...'cause I'd be the only one at work ... and looking up at the ceiling and just smiling at this pattern that was .. was happening in front of me,.It was just like this personal performance for Lyndall … it was very beautiful

And I’ve always loved the rain ... the sound of rain ... that comfort of …Don’t like storms … but you know, rain, where you get that sound on the roof, has always been really calming.   Again, it's a bit like that hug that your hand gets in the water but it's for the whole house so it's not … quite … on your body as such.

I think that’s changed a little bit … in the sense that I now think of flood, whereas in the past I wouldn't have. I don't get like ... I know a lot of people that get completely traumatised when it rains ... Thankfully that doesn't happen, but it does cross my mind … about … what if it keeps going, or what if it gets heavier, whereas, in the past I would have just enjoyed that sound ... and that sense of … being … kind of confident from outside the house.

And another thing for me with rain, if it, if it wasn't a bad storm ... bad storms I'm still terrified by, storms generally ... but just rain ... nice good rain, it's just good at cooling everything down and that, you just felt so much better, after it, it was always nice ... and the smell of the grass, the smell of the rain. There’s a real clarity and cleanness which can you get with the clean kind of niceness of water.
